MANİSA - Two young men working in electrical maintenance and repair in Turgutlu district of Manisa died in a traffic accident on their way back from work. A 16-year-old boy was seriously injured in the accident.
According to a post on the social media account of the Worker Health and Occupational Safety (ISIG) Assembly, 18-year-old Enes Karanfil and his 14-year-old cousin Emre Karanfil were returning from Köprübaşı district, where they had gone for electrical maintenance and repair work, when their car crashed into a truck and killed them. In the accident, 16-year-old Furkan Yıldırım was seriously injured.
Enes and Furkan are from Dalbahçe village in Turgutlu, Enes and Furkan are brothers and Emre is a cousin. The incident brought the debate on child labor and work safety back to the agenda.
