As a result of negotiations between Koop-İş Union and the Ministry of Family and Social Services, the strike in Social Assistance and Solidarity Foundations has ended. According to the agreement, the Public Framework Protocol will be applied to SYDV employees.
ANKARA - The strike launched by Koop-İş Union at Social Assistance and Solidarity Foundations (SYDV) under the Ministry of Family and Social Services has ended after the parties reached an agreement. The strike involved nearly 10,000 SYDV employees in 1003 workplaces across Turkey.
The strike, which started on Friday, August 29, 2025, ended with an agreement after a meeting between Koop-İş Union President Eyüp Alemdar and Minister of Family and Social Services Mahinur Özdemir Göktaş. According to the agreement, the Public Sector Collective Bargaining Framework Protocol will apply to SYDV workers. This result means that the workers' basic demands have been met.
Koop-İş Union thanked everyone who contributed to the agreement. The statement expressed gratitude to the Minister of Family and Social Services Mahinur Özdemir Göktaş for her contributions to the process, to all SYDV members who continued the struggle selflessly, and to the press and public for their support.
The press release ended with the wish that the agreement would be beneficial for SYDV employees and all parties.
