GEBZE - SAG Hidrolik workers, who are members of the United Metal-İş Union, the organized power of metal workers, continue to struggle with determination on the 15th day of their resistance to defend their constitutional union rights. According to the union's statement, SAG workers, who stand against the usurpation of their basic and universal trade union rights, are fully supported by other union members. While the workers showed their reaction with kokartars that read "Our right to union cannot be usurped!", the slogans rising from the resistance area once again show the power of organized struggle.

The Root Cause of Resistance: Trade Union Rights Violation

The United Metal-İş Union took action after the management of SAG Hidrolik pursued a policy of pressure and obstruction against workers who were members of the union. These violations of workers' constitutional right to freedom of association have sparked resistance.
