Türkiye Sağlık-İş Union has signed a collective labor agreement for its members working at Süleyman Demirel University. The agreement includes significant improvements in the financial and social rights of the members.
ISPARTA - The Health and Social Service Workers' Union of Turkey (Türkiye Sağlık-İş) has successfully signed the collective bargaining agreement (CBA) covering its members working at Süleyman Demirel University, achieving a significant gain. In the statement made on the social media accounts of the union, it was wished that the contract would be beneficial to all members.
Strong Representation at the Negotiating Table
Before the signing ceremony for the new term collective bargaining agreement at Süleyman Demirel University, Konya Branch President Recep Kaplan, Branch Secretary Kudret Ateş and workplace representatives met with General President Hakan Toy in Ankara and held talks. Following these preliminary negotiations, the actual CBA negotiations began.
Serefettin Güler, Deputy Secretary General of the Turkish Heavy Industry and Service Sector Public Employers' Union (TÜHİS), and officials from the institution attended the talks on behalf of the employer side. General Secretary Adem Sarıçoban, Board Member Süleyman Turgut, Konya Branch President Recep Kaplan and branch managers represented Türkiye Sağlık-İş Union.
Financial and Social Rights Improvements
As a result of the negotiations, an agreement was reached on a contract that protects the financial and social rights of members and includes significant improvements. While the details of the contract signed with the agreement of both parties have not yet been made public, the union thanked everyone who contributed.
This agreement is considered as an indicator of the commitment of Türkiye Sağlık-İş Union to protect and improve the rights and interests of its members. This agreement, which is expected to bring better working conditions and economic gains for university employees, has once again demonstrated the importance of unionized struggle.y
