Önder Kahveci, President of Turkish Public Sector Union (Kamu-Sen), condemned Israel's land operation in Gaza and called on the international community to intervene urgently and demanded an end to the massacre.
ANKARA - The President of Türkiye Kamu-Sen, Önder Kahveci, made harsh statements regarding the land operation launched by the murderous Israel against the Gaza Strip. Kahveci called on the international community to take immediate action and emphasized that the massacre in Gaza must stop.
In his statement, General President Kahveci reminded that the Israeli army has launched a comprehensive ground operation against the Gaza Strip and stated that it is "extremely meaningful" that this operation follows the visit of the US Secretary of State. Kahveci stated that this situation creates a responsibility to mobilize the world, which has remained silent, and warned, "After this, it is a blatant stupidity that will drag all humanity into darkness."
Stating that even hospitals, members of the press and humanitarian aid vehicles were targeted throughout the course of the war, Kahveci said, "The shooting of the Sumud ship, which represents the common conscience of humanity, has been the most striking indicator of this recklessness." Kahveci emphasized that these attacks wounded not only the people of Gaza but also the values of all humanity, and disregarded international law and the most basic humanitarian limits of war.
Turkish Kamu-Sen strongly condemned this reckless behavior and made the following demands to the international community:
The ongoing massacre in Gaza must stop immediately.
Humanitarian aid and protection must not be blocked.
We declare our unconditional support for all legitimate and effective decisions to be taken.
Önder Kahveci said, "It is imperative for all people of conscience to put a stop to this massacre before Gaza is no longer a place to return to tomorrow. The international community must act immediately and take steps to guarantee the laws of war, human rights and humanitarian corridors."
