Turkish Education and Science Union Family Expands: Manisa Branch No. 2 is in Service

Manisa - The organizing activities of Türk Eğitim-Sen continue unabated. Türk Eğitim-Sen Manisa Branch No. 2, which was established with the decision of the union's Headquarters Board of Directors dated July 17, 2025, was officially opened with a ceremony. Vice President Selahattin Dolgun, who attended the opening, wished the new branch to be beneficial to the Manisa education community and the union family and conveyed his wishes of success to the managers.

New Branch to Serve a Wide Geography

With the establishment of Manisa Branch No. 2, the union's organizing power in Manisa province has been further increased. The new branch, where Ceyhun Karabacak was elected as the branch president, will serve education workers in Salihli, Alaşehir, Demirci, Ahmetli, Sarıgöl, Köprübaşı, Kula, Selendi and Gördes districts. This broad mandate reflects the union's aim to increase its influence in the region and reach more education workers.

New Board of Directors Named

The first executive board of Manisa Branch No. 2 was also determined. The board of directors led by Branch President Ceyhun Karabacak consists of the following names:

• Assistant Branch President (Administrative Affairs): Ahmet Bayram Yusufsu

• Assistant Branch President (Financial Affairs): Mustafa Bayram

• Assistant Branch President (Organization): Ali Turgut Durgun

• Assistant Branch President (Education and Social Affairs): Şeref Güncan

• Assistant Branch Head (Legislation): Osman Suat Çete

• Assistant Branch President (Foreign Relations and Press): Ramazan Sümen

Supervisory and disciplinary boards of the branch were also formed. Gürol Gülcan was appointed as the Chairman of the Auditing Board, while Mehmet Ünver was appointed as the Chairman of the Disciplinary Board.

Turkish Education-Sen's Message of Unity and Solidarity

In his opening speech, Deputy General President Selahattin Dolgun emphasized the power that the new branch will add to the union struggle. Dolgun stated that the union continues its struggle to protect the rights and interests of education workers with determination and expressed his belief that the new branch management will make significant contributions to this struggle. The opening of Manisa Branch No. 2 is considered as one of the steps towards further consolidating the organized power of Türk Eğitim-Sen and becoming the voice of education workers.
