Türk Enerji Sen President Şuayip Deniz Demir visited MAPEG General Manager Arslan Narin and conveyed their demands for promotion exam, personal accident insurance and staffing. They were thanked for the approval given to the protective clothing of the employees.
Ankara - Türk Enerji Sen delegation visited Arslan Narin, General Director of MAPEG, in his office to improve the rights and working conditions of the employees of the General Directorate of Mining and Petroleum Affairs (MAPEG). The delegation was led by Türk Enerji Sen President Şuayip Deniz Demir and included Vice Presidents Ahmet Çağlaroğlu, Cihangir Hulusi Gök, Celal Burak Oğuzhan and Ankara Branch No. 1 President Hasan Bildim. During the meeting, a number of important demands of MAPEG staff, ranging from career development to job security, were discussed in detail.
The main agenda item of the visit was the long-standing expectations of MAPEG employees. The delegation of Türk Enerji Sen underlined the need to organize the promotion and title change exam within the institution as soon as possible. It was emphasized that these exams would allow employees to advance in their professional careers, increase their motivation and improve organizational efficiency on the basis of merit. Union officials said a fair and transparent examination process would play a key role in reducing workers' concerns about the future.
Another important issue that came to the fore during the meeting was the life safety of employees working in field conditions. The demand for individual accident insurance, which is of vital importance for personnel working in inherently risky fields such as mining and petroleum, to be covered by the organization was expressed. It was stated that this insurance will provide assurance to employees against possible work accidents and contribute to their more peaceful work in the field.
The agenda of the meeting also included the staffing demands of surface and mapping experts, who play a key role in the operational activities of the organization. The elimination of the staff shortage in these areas of expertise will both increase the effectiveness of the organization in field work and reinforce the employment security of the relevant personnel. Türk Enerji Sen argued that eliminating staff shortages would be a critical step in achieving MAPEG's goals by encouraging the employment of qualified personnel.
Turkish Energy Union President Şuayip Deniz Demir conveyed his special thanks to MAPEG General Manager Arslan Narin for his sensitivity and approval of the employees' protective clothing needs in recent months. Demir stated that Narin's approach shows that the management of the institution has an employee-oriented stance and that the union appreciates this. This gesture signaled a positive dialogue and cooperation between the union and the management of the institution.
At the end of the visit, Türk Enerji Sen and the MAPEG management sent the message that dialogue will continue between Türk Enerji Sen and MAPEG management on the protection of employee rights, improvement of working conditions and raising occupational safety standards. Türk Enerji Sen emphasized that it will continue to defend the rights of MAPEG employees and follow the demands until the end. This visit is expected to contribute positively to working peace and productivity within the organization.
