Türk Enerji-Sen made a written request to the institutions that did not supply protective clothing during the 7th Collective Agreement period to compensate for the loss of rights due to austerity measures.
ANKARA - Türk Enerji-Sen drew attention to the failures regarding protective clothing during the 7th Collective Bargaining Period and demanded in writing from the relevant institutions to provide protective clothing. The union stated that especially after the austerity measures and circulars, many institutions did not take steps in this regard and the legal right of employees was taken away.
Turk Enerji-Sen stated that during the 7th Collective Bargaining Period, the regulations on protective clothing were ignored by many institutions with a few exceptions due to the announced austerity measures and the circulars issued accordingly. It was emphasized that this situation results in the deprivation of the right to protective clothing, which public laborers working in production, in the field and in similar risky environments are legally required to receive.
Stating that the Collective Bargaining period has come to an end, the union demanded in writing that the institutions that have not yet provided protective clothing to their employees should urgently activate the Protective Clothing Commissions and prevent this loss of rights. Türk Enerji-Sen reminded that this demand is of great importance in terms of employee health and safety and is a legal obligation.
Turk Enerji-Sen stated that it will continue to follow the rights of its members and will take the necessary steps to ensure that protective clothing is fully provided to laborers working in all risky areas.
