Interview Evaluation by Türk Eğitim-Sen: "Pity These Young People, Pity These Efforts!"

ANKARA - Turkish Education-Sen President Talip Geylan, in his evaluation after the announcement of the results of teacher interviews, stated that the victimizations experienced last year continued this year. Geylan said that many candidates who were successful in the Public Personnel Selection Examination (KPSS) were eliminated in the interview, which is an unacceptable situation.

General President Geylan said in his statement that the same victimization was experienced last year and he told the Ministry of National Education, "This is the right of servitude. Do not kill the dreams of our young people and their families. Reminded that they called for appointments to be made according to KPSS ranking. However, he stated that despite all the calls, the interview insistence continues and thousands of teachers are victimized.

Geylan said, "Now we are faced with the same picture. Pity these young people! Pity these efforts!" and reacted to the situation. He emphasized that as Türk Eğitim-Sen, they will provide legal assistance to young teachers who were eliminated in the interview this year, as they did last year, and will support their struggle until they obtain their rights.
