Sağlık-Sen President Mahmut Faruk Doğan announced that the Ministry of Health and the Banks rejected the 100.000 TL Promotion Offer with Interest-Free Credit. Doğan called on the banks to raise the offer and warned of a mass action, saying, "The sweat of the health workers' brow cannot be written in the banks' profits."
ANKARA - Health and Social Service Employees Union (SAĞLIK-SEN) President Mahmut Faruk Doğan made a clear and harsh statement on the Bank Promotion Offers after his visit to Engin Karabaş, Head of Strategy Development at the Ministry of Health. Doğan stated that they find the latest offer of the banks, which includes an interest-free loan option, insufficient and far from meeting the expectations of health workers.
General President Mahmut Faruk Doğan, together with Vice Presidents Sinan Kuluöztürk and Yasin Barutcu, made a visit to the health sector, the main agenda item of which was the Bank Salary Promotions, which health workers were eagerly waiting for.
President Doğan, who made evaluations after the visit, announced that as a result of Sağlık-Sen's initiatives, the banks offered a new option in addition to yesterday's 90 thousand TL Cash + 10 thousand TL Money Points offer. Accordingly, the Bank offered to provide interest-free loans to health workers with different terms:
6 Month Term 550 Thousand TL Interest Free Loan,
12 Month Term 350 Thousand TL Interest Free Loan,
24 Month Term 200 Thousand TL Interest Free Loan.
Stating that Sağlık-Sen's stance is clear despite the additional offer, Doğan stated that they find the current table insufficient and that they do not accept the offer with the following words:
"However, we do not consider this table sufficient. As Healthcare Workers' Union, we do not accept the banks' offer of 100 thousand TL. The Sweat of the Health Worker's Forehead cannot be written in the Banks' Profit Houses. Our Expectation from the Banks is Clear and Clear: Reconsider Your Offers!"
Doğan also threatened mass action if their demands are not met. He emphasized that they will not hesitate to use their power of mass action to protect the rights of health professionals, including actions such as Credit Card Cancellation, Automatic Payment Cancellation.
