Sağlık-Sen submitted its 77-article demands for the 8th Term Collective Bargaining Agreement, including the economic and personal rights of more than 850 thousand health and social service employees, to the Ministry of Labor and Social Security. The Memur-Sen delegation also visited Minister Işıkhan.
Ankara - Sağlık-Sen has submitted its demands for the 8th Term Collective Bargaining Agreement to the Ministry of Labor and Social Security regarding the economic and personal rights of more than 850 thousand professionals working in public health and social services. Sağlık-Sen President Mahmut Faruk Doğan shared the union's comprehensive list of 77 proposals with Faruk Özçelik, Deputy Minister of Labor and Social Security.
General President Mahmut Faruk Doğan presented a 77-item proposal file to Deputy Minister Özçelik, expressing the difficulties and expectations of health and social service workers under the current economic conditions. It was stated that this list of proposals includes many basic topics such as salary improvements, additional payments, working conditions, appointment and promotion processes, guaranteed employment and social rights, which professionals in the sector have been voicing for a long time.
With these proposals, Sağlık-Sen aims to raise the living standards of health and social service workers, increase their professional dignity and ensure fairness in their working environment.
After the submission of the proposals for the service branches to the ministry, a delegation led by Ali Yalçın, President of Memur-Sen, visited Prof. Dr. Vedat Işıkhan, Minister of Labor and Social Security, in his office. The delegation included Mahmut Faruk Doğan, the General Secretary of Memur-Sen and also the President of Sağlık-Sen, and the heads of other unions affiliated to Memur-Sen. This high-level visit is important in terms of conveying the general demands of public employees to the government.
During the visit, the general demands of Memur-Sen, which concern all public employees, were shared with Minister Işıkhan. It was stated that these demands will determine the general framework of the collective bargaining processes and reflect the expectations for the general welfare level of public employees.
Sağlık-Sen will announce the details of its proposals for the 8th Term Collective Bargaining Agreement at a press conference on Wednesday, July 30th. At this meeting, the union is expected to provide more detailed information on the rationale for its demands and their impact on workers. The union has stated that it will fight with determination to achieve the best result for health and social service workers in the collective bargaining process, with the support of the public and all relevant stakeholders.
