Sağlık-Sen President Mahmut Faruk Doğan gave a message to continue the struggle after the collective agreement. Doğan announced that he will take initiatives before the Presidency to put an end to the wage injustice between civil servants and workers doing the same job.
ANKARA - In his speech at the Provincial Divan Meeting of Ankara Branch No. 6, Sağlık-Sen President Mahmut Faruk Doğan emphasized that even though the collective bargaining process has ended, the union's struggle for the rights of health and social service workers continues. Doğan stated that they will fight until the end to correct the wage injustice that hurts the conscience, especially between civil servants and workers doing the same job.
President Doğan started his speech by thanking the union's representatives, branch management and branch presidents and mentioned the gains achieved during the collective bargaining process. He explained that they had a successful process within Memur-Sen and that they brought the demands of nearly 40 professional groups in health to the table. However, Doğan noted that the struggle does not end with the end of the process:
"We will continue our visits to the Parliament, the ministry and the Presidency, and we will strive to receive the value of the sweat of the brow and the diploma. We will go door to door to get the right to the sweat of the civil servants who sweat in KPSS, to get the right to the diploma, and we will reveal the injustice of the situation by sharing the data we have prepared with the authorities. We will fight until the end to rectify this situation."
Doğan also shared the concrete gains achieved in the collective agreement:
112 Employees: The points added to the base payment rates of nurses, midwives, ATTs and paramedics working in 112 Emergency Health Services were increased. In addition, the points added to the net incentive coefficient of ATTs and paramedics who work as ambulance drivers in addition to their primary duties were increased.
Family Medicine: The HYP (Place of Service Score) victimization of family health nurses and midwives was eliminated.
Mentioning the projects they have realized with the understanding of social unionism, Doğan stated that they have left important works such as Sağlık-Sen Hotels to their members. With the decision of the board of directors, it was announced that all 112 employees on duty in Ankara or Istanbul (without the requirement of membership) can benefit from Sağlık-Sen Hotels free of charge.
Speaking at the meeting, Umut Gümüşay, President of Ankara Branch No. 6, said that they are aware of the problems in the field and that they are preparing for the salary promotion tenders in the best way possible. Gümüşay also stated that necessary initiatives have been taken to cancel the cameras placed in ambulances, which violate privacy.
