Sağlık-İş's Reaction to Türk-İş and Hak-İş on KÇP: "You Ignored Health Workers"
Sağlık-İş Samsun Branch President İrfan Kalyoncu reacted strongly to the signing of the public framework protocol (PFP) by Türk-İş and Hak-İş, ignoring health workers. Kalyoncu called on all health workers to protest the protocol and raise their voices on social media.
Kalyoncu reminded that health workers worked under the most severe conditions during the pandemic and crisis periods and said, "Health workers made the biggest sacrifice in this process. However, Türk-İş and Hak-İş signed the KÇP, ignoring us. Our absence at that ceremony is not silence, it is a strong reaction."
Stating that the confederations do not listen to the workers in the field, Kalyoncu said, "I do not do justice to the so-called executives who do unionism from the keyboard and do not go to the field. You have seen health workers as 'stepchildren'. You will be judged in conscience."
Kalyoncu criticized all the executives who signed the protocol, especially Ergün Atalay, the President of Turk-Is, and said, "You left us alone with the employer. We are at the table now, but we are not alone, we are more determined. We will continue to resist until we get our rights."
Sağlık-İş emphasized that it will continue its struggle until it signs its own contract by staying out of the KÇP. Kalyoncu concluded his statement by saying, "Health workers will give the necessary answer when the time comes."
