Petrol-İş Union signed a collective bargaining agreement (CBA) at Basf Coatings, where the Gebze Branch was newly organized. The agreement was signed on September 22, 2025 with the participation of General President Süleyman Akyüz and workplace managers.
GEBZE - The collective bargaining agreement (CBA) negotiations at the BASF Coatings workplace, where Petrol-İş Union Gebze Branch was newly organized, were successfully concluded with the agreement of the parties on Monday, September 22, 2025. This signature was recorded as an important achievement for both the workers in the newly organized workplace and the union.
The meeting where the collective labor agreement was signed was widely attended. On the union side, our General President Süleyman Akyüz, General Organization and Training Secretary Niyazi Recepkethüda, Gebze Branch President Şivan Kırmızıçiçek, Vice President Dursun Karataş, Our Collective Bargaining Service Specialist Melis Akkuzu, our BASF TÜRK Kimya Shop Steward Sedat Karadağ and our Basf Coatings Shop Steward Osman Çakır took part.
The employer side was represented by Ebru Pilavcı, Workplace General Manager, Serhan Özbek, Team Leader and Berfe Büşra Yılmaz, People and Culture EMEA Manager at Basf Coatings.
In the statement released after the signing ceremony, it was wished that the signed collective bargaining agreement would be beneficial to the parties, especially the Basf Coatings workplace employees, and to the new members and organization of the union. This agreement once again demonstrated the organizing success and collective bargaining power of Petrol-İş Union in the chemical sector. With the newly signed CBA, Basf Coatings employees have gained union security and better working conditions.
With this agreement, Petrol-Is Union has once again demonstrated that it will continue its struggle to protect and improve the rights of employees in its newly organized workplaces with determination.
