Petrol-İş Union signed a collective bargaining agreement (CBA) on Thursday, October 16, 2025 at Iskenderun Fertilizer Plant where Adana Branch is organized. General President Süleyman Akyüz and the entire General Executive Board attended the signing ceremony.
ISKENDERUN / HATAY - Petrol-Is Union, one of Turkey's long-established trade unions, has successfully concluded the collective bargaining agreement (CBA) negotiations at the Iskenderun Fertilizer Plant, where the Adana Branch is organized. After intense negotiations, on Thursday, October 16, 2025, the parties reached an agreement and signed the collective bargaining agreement with the participation of the entire General Executive Board of the union.
The contract signing ceremony was held at the Iskenderun Fertilizer Workplace and was attended by the union's senior management in full. Petrol-İş Union General President Süleyman Akyüz, General Secretary Ahmet Baranlı, General Financial Secretary Mehmet Kaya, General Organization and Training Secretary Niyazi Recepkethüda and General Management Secretary Ali Haluk Koşar were among the delegation that signed the contract.
Kaan Olgun, the owner of Iskenderun Fertilizer Workplace, was present at the meeting on behalf of the employer. Adana Branch President Bülent Kılıççıoğlu, Adana Branch Vice President (Finance) Muhittin Bülent Ağca, Collective Bargaining Service Specialist Tuğçe Kalyoncu and Workplace Representative Ahmet Gökçek were also present at the signing ceremony.Petrol-İş Union President Süleyman Akyüz said at the signing ceremony that despite the difficult economic conditions, they are happy to sign a contract that will protect the rights and interests of their members and at the same time support the sustainability of the workplace. Akyüz emphasized that the contract includes important gains not only in wages and social rights, but also in job security and improvement of working conditions.
The contract, which is of vital importance for the workers of Iskenderun Fertilizer, was also considered an important step in terms of regional labor peace and economic stability, given the criticality of the production of the fertilizer sector.
In the statement made by Petroleum-Is Union, it was wished that the signed collective bargaining agreement would be beneficial to all members working in Iskenderun Fertilizer Workplace, Adana Branch organization and all parties. The details of the agreement will be shared with the members in the coming days.
