Petrol-İş Union signed a collective bargaining agreement with TPAO on August 15, 2025. The agreement includes significant improvements in the financial and social rights of members at TPAO.
ANKARA - Petrol-İş Union has achieved an important victory for its members working at Turkish Petroleum Corporation (TPAO) and signed a collective labor agreement. On August 15, 2025, the signing ceremony held at TPAO Headquarters brought together senior representatives of both the union and the employer. The signed contract is expected to bring new rights and improvements for thousands of workers at TPAO.
Strong Representation at the Negotiating Table
General Secretary Ahmet Baranlı and General Management Secretary Ali Haluk Koşar participated in the collective labor agreement signing meeting on behalf of Petrol-İş Union. The employer side was represented by TPAO Deputy General Manager Rıza Özgür Temel, Legal Counsel Cemile Hilal Sümen and HR Department Deputy Head Remzi Alp. Executives of the union branches organized in TPAO, CBA Experts and workplace representatives were also present at the signing ceremony, showing that the process was carried out in a transparent and participatory manner.
Workers' Gains Registered
In the announcement made on Petrol-İş's social media account, the union wished that the signed collective labor agreement would be "auspicious" for the parties, the union and TPAO employees. The union stated that this agreement will provide significant increases in the financial and social rights of its members at TPAO. The agreement, the details of which have not yet been made public, is expected to include significant improvements in working conditions, social benefits and other personal rights as well as wage increases.
This agreement is seen as proof of Petrol-İş's determination to protect and improve the rights of workers in the workplaces where it is organized. This agreement, signed in a strategic public organization like TPAO, sets an example for other union struggles in Turkey.
