Öz Sağlık-İş Union participated in the International Congress of Social Sciences and Occupational Health and Safety at the University of Health Sciences.

Öz Sağlık-İş Union participated in the International Congress on Social Sciences and Occupational Health and Safety held at the University of Health Sciences on October 7-8. The union introduced its activities and projects in the field of occupational health and safety (OHS) in the health sector with a special stand at the congress.

The Oz Sağlık-İş Trade Union, affiliated to the Employee Workers' Union Confederation, was represented at the International Social Sciences and Occupational Health and Safety Congress, which lasted for two days and discussed current developments in the field of OHS. The congress was attended by Vice President and President of Hak Emek Der Remzi Karataş.

High Level Participation

Hosted by the University of Health Sciences, the congress was attended by senior figures from the public and academic community. Among the participants were Minister of Labor and Social Security Prof. Dr. Vedat Işıkhan, Deputy Ministers Ahmet Aydın and Faruk Özçelik, Director General of Occupational Health and Safety İbrahim Esenkar, Rector of Health Sciences University Prof. Dr. Kemalettin Aydın and Dr. Mehmet Erdem Güney, Vice President of the Vocational Qualifications Authority.

Intense Interest in the Union Stand

The booth opened by Öz Sağlık-İş Union at the congress attracted great interest from the participants. At the booth, projects, education activities and risk minimization activities carried out by the union to create safe working environments in workplaces in the health and social services sector were introduced in detail.

Deputy General President Remzi Karataş provided information about the union's work in the field of OHS during the congress. Karataş stated that one of the main goals of the union is to organize continuous trainings for its members to work in a healthy and safe environment and to take important steps to minimize the risks in the workplace.

The Ankara Branch Presidencies and headquarters employees also attended the congress and supported the union's activities in the field of OHS.
