Türk Eğitim-Sen met with 32 students from 30 countries who are in Turkey as part of Yunus Emre Institute's Turkish Summer School. Turkish culture and union vision were shared at the event attended by President Talip Geylan.
Ankara - Türk Eğitim-Sen held an unforgettable meeting with 32 international students from 30 different countries who are in Turkey as part of the Turkish Summer School organized by Yunus Emre Institute and staying at the Student Dormitory with the support of UAESEB and Türk Eğitim-Sen. This meaningful program reinforced Turkey's cultural and fraternal ties with the countries in its heartland through young generations.
The meeting program was also attended by Mr. Talip Geylan, President of UAESEB and Türk Eğitim-Sen. Students from Albania, Kazakhstan, Argentina, Georgia, Gambia, Palestine, Jordan, China, Indonesia, Venezuela, Nigeria, France, Morocco, Burundi, Oman, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Kosovo, Serbia, Hungary, Rwanda, Tanzania, Germany, Croatia, Thailand, Tunisia, Iraq, Japan, Cabo Verde (Cape Verde Islands) and Egypt came together at the same table with Türk Eğitim-Sen President Talip Geylan and had the opportunity to chat in a friendly atmosphere.
During the program, President Talip Geylan informed the students about the meaning of being a student in Turkey, the union vision of Türk Eğitim-Sen and the importance of union life in Turkey. He also made detailed presentations about UAESEB's union activities in the Turkic World, the Balkans and Europe and explained the union's activities in the international arena. The students also exchanged ideas by sharing their observations and suggestions on education and trade union life in their home countries. This interactive environment revealed the richness of cultural differences.
The event took place in a warm and friendly atmosphere. International students had the opportunity to experience Turkish hospitality and spend a pleasant evening in touch with Turkish culture. At the end of the program, Türk Eğitim-Sen presented book sets consisting of Ömer Seyfettin's stories prepared according to levels and various cultural gifts to contribute to the students' Turkish learning process. These gifts were intended to enrich students' memories of Turkey and increase their motivation to learn Turkish.
This meaningful meeting once again demonstrated Türk Eğitim-Sen's effectiveness and vision in the international arena. Through such events, the union aims to introduce Turkey and Turkish culture to students from different geographies through young generations, as well as to spread union consciousness and the spirit of solidarity at the international level.
