Koop-İş Union signed a 4th term collective labor agreement with Karadeniz Technical University. The new CBA is expected to bring improvements in the financial and social rights of KTU employees.
ANKARA - The Cooperative, Trade, Education and Clerical Workers Union of Turkey (Koop-İş) has successfully signed the 4th Term Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) covering its members working at Karadeniz Technical University (KTÜ). The signing ceremony, which took place at the TÜHİS meeting hall, brought together senior representatives of both the union and the employer side.
Secretary General Metin Güney, Deputy Secretary General Aytuğ Balaman and CBA Specialist Sezgin Bilgin attended the signing ceremony on behalf of Koop-İş Union. Deputy Secretary General Şerefettin Güler, Senior Chief Specialist Fatma Taşkın and Specialist Osman Adıgüzel were present on behalf of the employer side of the Turkish Heavy Industry and Service Sector Public Employers' Union (TÜHİS). The contract process was also accompanied by Pulat Cemil Sonkaya and Özgür Serbest, workplace representatives at KTU.
In the statement made by the union, the signed contract was wished to be beneficial to all parties, especially the members working at Karadeniz Technical University. The agreement is expected to bring significant improvements in the economic and social rights of university employees. The agreement, the details of which have not yet been made public, is expected to have positive repercussions on the living and working conditions of employees.
This CBA is considered an indicator of Koop-İş Union's determination to protect and improve the rights and interests of its members and sets an example for public workers.
