Koop-İş Signs 4th Term Collective Labor Agreement for Fırat University Employees

ELAZIĞ - Koop-İş Union, one of the important actors of the trade union movement in Turkey, has achieved a great success for its members working at Fırat University. Following long-standing negotiations, the 4th Term Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA), which guarantees the financial and social rights of employees, was signed at a ceremony organized with the participation of the parties. This agreement includes important gains aimed at increasing the economic and social welfare of university employees.

Signing Ceremony at TUHIS with Extensive Participation

The signing of the contract was made official at the headquarters of the Turkish Confederation of Employers' Associations (TÜHİS) in Ankara in a ceremony attended by a large number of people. On behalf of Koop-İş Union, General Secretary Metin Güney, Deputy General Secretary Aytuğ Balaman and CBA Specialist Sezgin Bilgin were present, while the union's workplace representatives at Fırat University, Fatih Duran and Erdinç Fırat, also attended the ceremony and supported the process.

Serefettin Güler, Deputy Secretary General of TÜHİS, Fatma Taşkın, Senior Chief Specialist, Osman Adıgüzel, Specialist, and T. Eymen Özben, Assistant Specialist, represented the employer side. The parties formalized the agreement reached on the contract articles with this ceremony and wished the new period to be auspicious.

Employee Rights Secured

Making a statement after the signing ceremony, Koop-İş Union officials wished that the signed contract would be auspicious and fruitful for all parties, especially all members working at Fırat University. It was stated that this contract includes significant gains in various social rights as well as improvements in the wages of employees. The union emphasized that this contract was drafted with the aim of protecting the purchasing power of employees in a highly inflationary environment and providing a better standard of living.

Although the details of the contract have not yet been disclosed to the public, it is estimated that it includes significant improvements for the members as a result of Koop-İş's determination to protect the rights of the employees. This contract is accepted as an indicator of the organized power of Koop-İş Union at Fırat University and is considered as an important step taken to protect the rights of the employees. With the new contract, the union aims to increase the morale and motivation of the employees at Fırat University and to further strengthen labor peace.
