2nd Term CBA Signed Between KOOP-İŞ Union and PUMA: "An Indication of the Value Given to Labor and Production Process"

ISTANBUL - Koop-Is Union concluded the Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) negotiations on behalf of its organized members at PUMA SPOR GIYİM SANAYİ ve TİCARET AŞ, one of the leading sportswear brands in Turkey. The second term CBA was signed at a ceremony held at the TÜRK-İŞ 1st Regional Representative Office.

General President Eyüp Alemdar and General Secretary Metin Güney attended the signing ceremony on behalf of Koop-İş Union, while PUMA Finance Director Saniye Hacıbekiroğlu and Mediator Prof. Dr. Ahmet Selamoğlu were present on behalf of the employer. Union and employer representatives and workplace representatives also took part in the ceremony.

General President Alemdar: "We Did Not Depart From Dialogue And Common Sense"

Speaking at the signing ceremony, Koop-Is President Eyüp Alemdar emphasized the importance of the signed contract:

"We are proud to sign the second term Collective Labor Agreement with PUMA Spor Giyim Sanayi ve Ticaret A.Ş., one of the leading sportswear brands in Turkey. While defending the rights of labor during the contract process, we did not deviate from dialogue, compromise and common sense. This contract we signed here today is an indication of the value that both our union and PUMA management place on labor and the production process."

Alemdar stated that he believes that the new contract will increase the motivation of PUMA employees and productivity in the workplace and said, "Wherever labor and sweat are valued, success grows and peace increases."

General President Alemdar thanked the mediator, employer side officials and all union representatives who contributed to the contract process and wished the contract to be beneficial to the PUMA family and the whole working life.

With this CBA, the rights of Koop-İş members working in PUMA Sportswear Stores have been improved.
