Türk Sağlık-Sen signed a new collective bargaining agreement covering its members at İnönü University. The agreement includes significant improvements in wages and working conditions.
MALATYA - Turkish Health and Social Service Workers Union (Türk Sağlık-Sen) has signed a new term collective labor agreement covering its members working at İnönü University. The signing ceremony, which took place with the participation of Union President Hakan Toy and İnönü University Rector Prof. Dr. Nusret Akpolat, brought important gains for university employees.
Inönü University was represented by Rector Prof. Dr. Nusret Akpolat, Vice Rectors and Medical Center administrators, including Rector Prof. Dr. Nusret Akpolat, at the ceremony held with the participation of Union President Hakan Toy, General Secretary Adem Sarıçoban and branch management.
Stating that the signed contract includes important gains for the workers, the university and the country, Hakan Toy, President of Türk Sağlık-Sen, emphasized that the union has always fought for "a wage that its members can live humanely and conditions in which they can work humanely". Toy underlined that protecting the rights of healthcare workers directly affects the quality of service by saying "Protecting the shift is protecting the service". He also added that they are honored to serve the health workers who worked with great devotion during the pandemic period.
Inönü University Rector Prof. Dr. Nusret Akpolat also stated that it is vital for workers to have a peaceful and safe working environment in terms of both the welfare of employees and the quality of health services provided.
Turk Sağlık-Sen stated in a press release that they will continue to defend the rights of their members, sign strong collective bargaining agreements and build a stronger working life.
