ANKARA - Negotiations for the 8th Term Collective Bargaining Agreement, which will determine the financial and social rights of public employees, continue unabated. In an announcement made on social media, the Confederation of Civil Servants announced that today (August 6, 2025) the proposals of the Clerical, Banking and Insurance Services and Press, Broadcasting and Communication Services branches will be negotiated.
These negotiations are of great importance in terms of addressing the demands regarding the salaries, additional payments and social rights of millions of public servants working in the relevant service branches. Representatives of Büro Memur-Sen and Birlik Haber-Sen, unions affiliated to Memur-Sen, will meet with the public employer delegation by bringing the expectations of employees in their service branches to the table.
In these negotiations, where the parties are expected to reach an agreement in accordance with the collective bargaining calendar, the items submitted by the unions will be evaluated one by one and the agreed items will be added to the text of the contract. The outcome of the negotiations will directly affect the financial and social gains that public servants in the relevant service branches will achieve in the next two years.
Memur-Sen stated that it is closely following the process to ensure that its unions are represented at the table and to protect the rights of all public employees, and that it is making efforts to ensure that the negotiations proceed in a transparent and fair manner.
