Historic Collective Labor Agreement Signed Between TES-İŞ Union and TREDAŞ

A new 2-year collective labor agreement was signed between TES-İŞ Union and TREDAŞ. With the agreement, in addition to an average 45% increase in salaries, many new gains such as child allowance, fuel support and complementary health insurance were achieved.

Historic Collective Labor Agreement Signed Between TES-İŞ Union and TREDAŞ

ANKARA - The 4th Term Collective Labor Agreement (CBA) negotiations between the Turkish Energy, Water and Gas Workers Union (TES-İŞ) and Trakya Elektrik Dağıtım A.Ş. (TREDAŞ) have been successfully concluded. The contract, which was announced with the signature of TES-İŞ General President İrfan Kabaloğlu, both secures existing rights and brings many new gains for TREDAŞ employees. The 2-year contract, covering the period between March 1, 2025 and February 28, 2027, provided significant improvements in the wages and social rights of employees.

Average Wage Increase of Up to 45 Percent

With the new contract, significant increases were achieved in the salaries of employees.

  • Workers who are members of the union will receive a diluted increase of 70 TL to their daily gross wages as of March 1, 2025.
  • A daily seniority increase of 8 TL per day for each full year of service will be added to the daily gross wages resulting from the cyanian increase.
  • In the first six months of the contract, the rate of increase in wages reached 36.5% on average, including the diluted increase, seniority increase and the first six-month wage increase.
  • With increases in bonuses, employment-indexed fringe benefits and other social benefits, the average rate of increase in the first six months approached 45%.
  • The second six-month increase will be applied by adding 1 percentage point of welfare share to the six-month inflation as of September 1, 2025.

New and Enhanced Social Rights

The agreement improves wages as well as many social and financial rights.

  • Bonus: The bonus, which was 60 days a year in the old period, was increased to 72 days in the first year and 80 days in the second year.

  • Meal Allowance: As of April 1, 2025, the daily net amount is 320 TL, and as of July 1, 2025, the daily net amount is 360 TL.

  • Family and Child Allowance: Family allowance, which was 2,550 TL in the previous period, was increased by 41% to 3,600 TL. A monthly child allowance of 300 TL for each child was added to the contract as a new gain.

  • Education Allowance: TL 1,750 net for primary school, secondary school and kindergarten, TL 2,000 net for high school and equivalent schools, and TL 2,500 net for college and university.

  • Death and Disability Benefit: In the event of the death of the worker, the benefit to the family of the worker was increased by 300% to 20,000 TL, and the benefit to the worker himself was increased by 700% to 40,000 TL. In case of death of the worker as a result of occupational disease or work accident, 80,000 TL will be paid with an increase of 1500%. In case of becoming unable to work as a result of occupational disease or work accident, 70,000 TL will be paid as a new gain.

  • Fuel and Holiday Aid: As a new gain, 500 TL fuel support will be provided in the 1st year of the contract, to be paid in November, December and January each year. Eid benefits have also been increased. In the first year, 4,000 TL net on Eid al-Fitr and 5,000 TL net on Eid al-Adha will be paid, while in the second year these figures will be 5,000 TL and 8,000 TL respectively.
  • Military Allowance: A net 10,000 TL military allowance will be given as a new gain to the members who will go to military service, excluding the paid military service.

  • Leaves: Companionship leave was increased from 3 working days to 5 working days. In addition, adoption leave (3 working days), International Women's Day leave (1 working day) and Continuous Weekly Leave of up to 10 days in a year were added to the contract as new gains.

  • Complementary Health Insurance: Members have been provided with Complementary Health Insurance as of March 1, 2026.

  • Service Incentive Premium: Members who previously had 5 years of service but did not receive this premium have been provided with payment in the new period.

TES-İŞ General President İrfan Kabaloğlu, in his message on the signing of the contract, said, "As a result of intensive efforts, a participatory approach and transparent negotiations carried out meticulously, important gains were achieved and signed on behalf of our members." Kabaloğlu wished the contract to be beneficial to all members working in TREDAŞ workplace and the organization and thanked everyone who contributed to the negotiation and signing process.
