A Spirit of Unity and Solidarity from Hak-Is: 50th Anniversary Inter-Union Football Tournament Started

ANKARA - Hak-İş Confederation organized an inter-union football tournament within the scope of the activities celebrating the 50th anniversary of its honorable march. On September 11, 2025, Hak-İş President Mahmut Arslan and Vice President Devlet Sert made the opening kick of the tournament. This special event aims to strengthen the bonds of unity, solidarity and brotherhood among trade unions.

The first match of the tournament was played between the teams of Öz Sağlık-İş and Öz İletişim-İş unions. Before the match, the teams took the field with a banner reading "As HAK-İŞ we stand by all the oppressed and victims, salute to Palestine, continue the resistance" and gave a message of support to the Palestinian people. The enthusiastic crowd in the stands also supported their team with flags and slogans.

Tournament Program and Participants

The teams of Öz Sağlık-İş, Öz İletişim-İş, Özçelik-İş, Öz Gıda-İş, Öz Taşıma-İş and Hizmet-İş unions will compete in the tournament. The second match was played between Öz Gıda-İş and Özçelik-İş on September 12, 2025 and the teams congratulated each other at the end of the match.

At the end of the match, President Mahmut Arslan expressed his satisfaction with the spirit of brotherhood and struggle on the field and congratulated both teams. The tournament will continue according to the fixtures and the champion team will be presented with the "Hak-İş 50th Anniversary Cup".
