HAK-İŞ President Mahmut Arslan received HAK-İŞ Provincial and Hizmet-İş Branch Presidents and evaluated regional organizing activities, collective bargaining processes and developments in the labor agenda, especially in Van, Malatya, Denizli and Nevşehir.
HAK-İŞ Confederation President Mahmut Arslan received HAK-İŞ Provincial Presidents and branch presidents of Hizmet-İş Union affiliated to the Confederation at the Headquarters to evaluate the organizing activities and union struggle in the provinces. During the meeting, regional problems, collective bargaining processes and new period strategies were discussed.
HAK-İŞ Confederation Headquarters hosted an important meeting on Wednesday, October 8, 2025. President Mahmut Arslan met with senior executives of local organizations and received comprehensive information about the work in the field.
The delegation received by President Arslan included HAK-İŞ Van Provincial President and Hizmet-İş Union Van Branch President Fatih Akdeniz, HAK-İŞ Malatya Provincial President and Hizmet-İş Union Malatya Branch President Mustafa Sengir, Hizmet-İş Union Denizli Branch President Muhammet Ali Oğuz and Nevşehir Branch President Faruk Fazlıoğlu, as well as board members of the branches. Deputy Secretary General of Hizmet-İş Union Mehmet Yeşilyurt was also present at the visit.
The main agenda item of the visit was to examine in detail the current union activities and organization processes in the provinces. The presidents made presentations to President Arslan on the collective bargaining negotiations carried out in a wide geography from Van to Malatya, Denizli to Nevşehir, new member gain targets and labor agenda problems encountered locally.
During the meeting, President Arslan emphasized the critical role of provincial organizations in strengthening the roots of the trade union movement. Emphasizing the importance of union unity and solidarity, Arslan underlined that local organizations should play an active role in addition to the central government in order to improve the economic and social rights of workers across the country.
At the end of the meeting, Mr. Arslan made an assessment and noted the following in the light of the information he received from the Provincial and Branch Presidents:
"Your devoted work in the field is the guarantee of the strength of HAK-İŞ and Hizmet-İş. Every voice coming from the local adds a new dimension to our struggle. In the new working period, we aim to break records in the field of organization and achieve results that will increase the welfare level of our members. I wish success to all our Provincial Presidents and Branch Managements in achieving these goals."
The meeting ended with wishes for increased cooperation and coordination in the new period.
