Memur-Sen announced its full support for the "Hanzala" ship that set sail against the blockade against Gaza. The confederation stated that the ship is an "expedition of conscience" and that Gaza is the honor of humanity.
Ankara - Memur-Sen, one of Turkey's largest civil servant confederations, announced its full support for the ship named "Hanzala", which started a new "conscience expedition" against the blockade, hunger and silence against Gaza. The Confederation emphasized that the journey is more than an aid expedition, it is a test of humanity and declared that it stands by this honorable march with the slogan "Gaza is the honor of humanity."
According to the statement made by the social media accounts of the Union of Civil Servants, the ship named "Hanzala" set sail for Gaza. The voyage has a symbolic meaning, following in the footsteps of the Mavi Marmara ship, which was organized in 2010 to deliver humanitarian aid to Gaza and caused a great international outcry. "Hanzala is on its way... Its route is Gaza, its burden is humanity, its hope is entrusted to all of us," the statement said, adding that the expedition is not only a logistical aid, but also a moral and conscientious stance.
It was pointed out that people of conscience were on board the ship, not only from Turkey but also from different countries. Memur-Sen described these participants as "representatives of those who do not close their eyes, those who do not silence their voices, those who defend human dignity". This shows that the struggle against the blockade of Gaza has an international dimension and that this expedition is a global call for solidarity.
Memur-Sen, in a statement, clearly expressed their support for this "honorable march". The union emphasized that the embargo against Gaza and the humanitarian tragedy is a common issue of all humanity and said, "Every step that stands by the oppressed is a light in the darkness." This message of support demonstrated that Memur-Sen is not only a trade union organization that defends the rights of civil servants, but also an organization that is sensitive to global human rights and conscience movements.
The voyage of the Hanzala ship is brought to the attention of the international community with hashtags such as #HanzalaSailed, #FreedomForGaza, #FreeGaza and #EndTheSiege. Memur-Sen's support for this campaign is a strong call both locally and internationally for the immediate lifting of the blockade on Gaza and the uninterrupted delivery of humanitarian aid to the people of the region.
