In a report published for the National Education Academy, Eğitim-Bir-Sen presented 7 strategic policy recommendations for restructuring the teacher training system. Based on field research, the report aims for a comprehensive transformation from curriculum reform to merit culture.
Eğitim-Bir-Sen shared with the public its comprehensive report on the National Education Academy, which is expected to usher in a new era in teacher training and assignment policies. The report, based on field research conducted with the participation of 4,384 teachers and 1,533 school administrators from 81 provinces across Turkey, includes concrete suggestions on the curriculum structure of the Academy and 7 strategic policy recommendations. The 125-page report was prepared by Eğitim-Bir-Sen Strategic Research Center (EBSAM) and titled "The Institutional Role of the National Education Academy: An Evaluation on Qualitative Transformation, Strategic Boundaries and Structural Tensions in the Teaching Profession". The report highlights how the social and technological transformation of the 21st century has redefined the teaching profession, and analyzes in detail the critical role that the Academy can play in this transformation process.

The report also emphasized the need for a more collaborative, transparent and science-based structure of the Academy and stated that the ethical, sociological and cultural dimensions of the preparation process for the teaching profession should not be ignored.
