ISTANBUL - Preparations have begun for the 2025/27 period MESS Group Collective Bargaining Agreement, one of the largest collective bargaining agreements in the metal industry. Ahead of this important process, United Metal-İş Union convened the Central Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) Commission to evaluate the demands and opinions of its members.
The General President of the union, Özkan Atar, announced that they started the first day of the week with the work on the draft MESS group agreement, for which they are authorized in 32 enterprises and 43 factories. In addition to the General President, İrfan Kaygısız, an expert from the Collective Bargaining Department, made a presentation at the meeting and gave information about the process.
It was stated that demands and opinions from union members will be discussed in detail at this meeting and that the work will continue tomorrow with all representatives and branch administrations.
The Central CBA Commission regrouped after the lunch break and continued the meeting with slogans of struggle. In the post made on the social media accounts of the union, it was emphasized that the slogan "This is just the beginning, keep fighting!" was raised and that the collective bargaining process would continue with the spirit of union struggle.
