Birleşik Metal-İş signed a Collective Bargaining Agreement with the employer ahead of the strike that will start on October 30, 2025 at Anadolu Döküm, affiliated to the Kocaeli branch of the union. The union announced that the agreement was reached with the approval and satisfaction of the members, emphasizing the victory of the organized struggle.
KOCAELI - BİRLEŞİK METAL-İŞ, the leading union in the metal industry, reached an agreement with the employer in the collective bargaining agreement (CBA) negotiations at the Anadolu Döküm workplace affiliated to the Kocaeli Branch, before the strike decision to start on October 30, 2025. In line with the decision of the General Executive Board to implement a strike, the new term CBA was signed with a last minute compromise.
In the statement made by the union, it was emphasized that the agreement was reached with the approval and satisfaction of the members, drawing attention to the power of organized struggle.
After the employer did not respond positively to the demands of the workers in the CBA negotiations, which had been going on for months and reached a critical stage, the General Executive Board of Birleşik Metal-İş had decided to go on strike on October 30, 2025. As a result of the pressure of this decision and the determination of the members, an agreement was reached at the table minutes before the strike began.
Birleşik Metal-İş stated that the signed CBA includes not only wage increases, but also significant gains in terms of working conditions and social rights.
The union management wished that the signed collective bargaining agreement would be beneficial to the entire union community and metal workers, especially to the members working at Anadolu Döküm. The statement ended with an emphasis on one of the union's main slogans, "Long Live Our Organized Struggle!".
This agreement once again demonstrated the organized power of Birleşik Metal-İş and its effectiveness in protecting the rights of its members by using the threat of a strike.
