7th Term Collective Labor Agreement Signed Between Koop-Is Union and General Directorate of Security

Koop-İş Union successfully completed the 7th Term Collective Labor Agreement (CBA) negotiations with the Turkish National Police (TNP) and signed the contract. The signing ceremony, held at the Confederation of Turkish Employers' Associations (TÜHİS), marked a milestone that brought significant improvements in the rights of thousands of workers employed by the General Directorate of Security.

Comprehensive Participation in Negotiations

The negotiations were led by General Secretary Metin Güney on behalf of Koop-İş Union, with the participation of Assistant General Secretary Aytuğ Balaman, Ankara Branch No. 1 President Yücel Yıldırım and CBA Specialist Sezgin Bilgin. Workplace representatives Haki Köylü, Burak Acar, Mehmet Barbaros Ceylan, Yahya Nakaş, Adem Özkan and Ziya Cem Demirdoğan were also present at the table to directly reflect the demands of the workers. Representing the employer side were Hüseyin Tekin, Deputy Deputy Head of the Personnel Department of the General Directorate of Security, and officials, while on behalf of TÜHİS, Deputy General Secretaries Hasan Yılmaz and Şerefettin Güler and experts were present at the table. This large delegation shows that every article of the agreement has been meticulously negotiated.

Gains Shaped by Worker Demands

As a result of long-term negotiations, significant increases in the salaries of Koop-İş members, improvements in social rights and new regulations regarding working conditions were achieved. The contract aims to raise the living standards of workers working at the General Directorate of Security and further strengthen labor peace. Koop-İş Union officials stated that the contract signed is of a nature that will protect the purchasing power of employees in the economic conditions of the post-pandemic period.
