The 3rd Term Collective Labor Agreement was signed between Koop-İş Union and the Ministry of Justice. The agreement emphasized the importance of social dialogue and labor peace, and the agreement was wished to be beneficial for the employees of the Ministry of Justice.
ANKARA - As a result of protracted negotiations between Koop-İş Union and the Ministry of Justice, the 3rd Term Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA), which concerns thousands of workers within the Ministry, was signed at a ceremony held at the union headquarters. The signing ceremony once again demonstrated the importance the parties attach to social dialogue and labor peace.
The ceremony was attended by Koop-İş Union President Eyüp Alemdar and Secretary General Metin Güney, as well as Fatih Akkuzu, Head of Department at the Ministry of Justice General Directorate of Personnel, and Metin Köse, Head of Department at the Strategy Development Directorate, on behalf of the employer. Şerefettin Güler, Deputy Secretary General of the Confederation of Turkish Employers' Associations (TÜHİS) was also present at the ceremony. A large delegation of union and employer representatives took part at the table.
Speaking at the signing ceremony, Koop-İş Union President Eyüp Alemdar stated that the contract was a product of hard work and long-lasting efforts and said, "I would like to thank both my colleagues and all parties for their efforts in this contract. We are happy to carry out the social dialogue process efficiently." Alemdar wished the contract to be beneficial to all parties, especially the employees of the Ministry of Justice, and thanked TÜHİS and the employer for their constructive approach.
Taking the floor on behalf of the employer side, Fatih Akkuzu, Head of Department of the General Directorate of Personnel, emphasized the importance of this collective bargaining process, which was completed in line with the demands of the employees and with a very constructive approach, and thanked everyone who contributed. In his speech, TÜHİS Deputy Secretary General Şerefettin Güler emphasized that they will continue to work to eliminate the problems in practice and expressed his appreciation for the efforts of the union and the employer side in solving the problems.
The ceremony ended with the wishes that the agreement would be beneficial for the entire working life and the union, especially the members of Koop-İş working within the Ministry of Justice. This agreement is considered an important step towards protecting the rights and improving the working conditions of the employees of the Ministry of Justice.
