Rescue efforts are ongoing for Hüseyin Turan and Ömer Duran, two workers trapped after a mine collapse in Denizli, Turkey. Gendarmerie, health, AFAD, and UMKE teams are at the scene.
DENIZLI – An ongoing rescue operation is underway in Denizli's Acıpayam district following a mine collapse yesterday that left two workers trapped underground. The search for Hüseyin Turan and Ömer Duran continues without interruption.
Immediately after the incident in the Karaismailler neighborhood, emergency teams from the Gendarmerie, health services, fire department, UMKE, and AFAD were dispatched to the site. They are working in a coordinated effort, with support from other mine workers, to reach the two men. A tense but hopeful vigil is being kept at the site as all resources are mobilized to bring the trapped workers to safety.
