Ankara – The "Terror-Free Turkey" commission, established under the Grand National Assembly of Turkey (TBMM) to forge a common ground in the fight against terrorism, one of the country's most critical issues, will hold its inaugural meeting tomorrow (Tuesday, August 5, 2025) at 11:00 AM. This significant gathering, set to take place in the TBMM Ceremony Hall, will be chaired by TBMM Speaker Numan Kurtulmuş.

This long-awaited commission, formed with broad participation from political parties, aims to find lasting solutions to Turkey's terrorism problem, foster social reconciliation, and realize the vision of a "terror-free Turkey." This initial session holds paramount importance as it will determine the roadmap for the commission's future work.

Agenda and Participants of the Inaugural Session

During its first session, the commission will thoroughly define its working principles, methods, and fundamental tenets. This initial meeting will establish the operational framework for the commission and ensure coordination of its future activities. TBMM Speaker Numan Kurtulmuş will deliver the opening speech.
