Birleşik Metal-İş signed a Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) at the Anadolu Döküm workplace just days before the scheduled strike on October 30, 2025. The union emphasized that the agreement was reached with the full approval of its members, showcasing the success of organized labour in securing significant gains in wages and social rights.
KOCAELİ – The leading metalworkers' union, BİRLEŞİK METAL-İŞ, reached a last-minute agreement with the employer at the Anadolu Döküm workplace (affiliated with the Kocaeli Branch), just before the strike scheduled for October 30, 2025, was due to begin. The new-term Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) was signed following a consensus reached under the pressure of the union's strike decision.
In a statement, the union emphasized that the agreement was secured with the approval and satisfaction of its members, highlighting the power of organized struggle. Birleşik Metal-İş noted that the signed CBA includes significant gains not only in wage increases but also in improving working conditions and social rights. The union hailed the outcome as a triumph of its organized power and the effective use of the strike threat to protect workers' rights.
