Great Success from Turkish Barbers and Hairdressers in London: We Ranked 3rd as a Team in the World Cup

ANKARA - Turkish barbers and hairdressers made Turkey proud in the international arena. In the CMC International Competitions Federation Men's and Women's Hairdressing World Cup held in London, the capital of England, between 11-13 October 2025 with the participation of 800 competitors from 38 countries, EUROCUP-CMC Turkey National Team achieved world third place as a team.

The President of the Confederation of Turkish Tradesmen and Craftsmen (TESK) Bendevi Palandöken congratulated this important achievement and emphasized that it was the victory of the determination and belief of his colleagues.

Rankings in Individual Categories

In addition to the team success, the national team also displayed outstanding performance in individual categories. From the master artisans participating in the competition:

• Yahya Gozmek was the world runner-up in the individual category.

• Nilgün Keser shared the world second place in the individual category, bringing the name of our country to the top on the international platform.

The other successful names in the National Team are Dursun Gündem, Şener Eroğlu, Tuncay Özkan, Yunus Akar, Deniz Hamarat, İhsan Kurt, Veysel Durak and Filiz Temel.

Federation President and Captains Stand by the Team

The President of the Turkish Federation of Barbers and Hairdressers Bayram Karakaş, who was in London to support the Turkish National Team during the competition, stood by the team by giving morale to the master craftsmen. EUROCUP Turkey-CMC President and National Team Captain Gökhan Hamarat and EUROCUP CMC Barber Responsible Erkan Engin, who served in the international jury committee, meticulously defended the rights of the national team during the competition.
