TESK President Palandoken: "Ahilik is the Life Philosophy of Tradesmen and Craftsmen, Carries Hope for the Future!"

ANKARA - In a written statement published on the occasion of the 22-28 September Ahilik Week, Bendevi Palandöken, President of the Confederation of Turkish Tradesmen and Craftsmen (TESK), emphasized that the philosophy of Ahilik is not only a professional organization, but also a philosophy of life based on respect, honesty, tolerance and sharing that strengthens the unity and solidarity of society. Palandöken stated that the Ahilik heritage is kept alive today by the more than two and a half million tradesmen and artisans community.

"Carrying Ahi Culture to the Future is Our Greatest Responsibility"

Palandöken stated that the philosophy of Ahilism, which has been adopted in Anatolian lands for about 900 years, has ensured that tradesmen and artisans have observed quality in production, trust in trade and justice in society for centuries. Stating that the roots of Ahi-ism carry values that will set an example not only for Anatolia but also for all humanity, Palandöken said, "Our tradesmen and artisans are both the founders and the strongest representatives of the Ahi-ism culture. Thanks to this understanding that has lasted for centuries in our bazaars, markets and workshops, both economic life has survived and social peace has been preserved."

Saying that tradesmen and artisans are not only people who produce and provide services, but also the carrier power of moral values, solidarity and brotherhood, Palandöken said, "In their workplaces, there are not only the sweat of their brow, but also the traces of honesty and trust. For this reason, Ahi culture has been preserving its vitality for centuries in the representation of our tradesmen and artisans and carries hope to the future." He emphasized that it is their greatest responsibility to carry the tradition of Ahi-order to the future with hope.

"Ahi philosophy also regulates social life"

Stating that Ahi will always shed light on the future, TESK President stated that the Ahi Week, in addition to reminding the great heritage of the past, also imposes an important responsibility to be left to future generations. Palandöken said, "Ahi culture is not only an understanding of profession, but also a way of life that organizes social life, establishes trust between individuals, reinforces cooperation and brotherhood."

Stating that as TESK, they continue to work with determination in every field from education to professional organization, from professional competence to social solidarity in order to transfer the good morality-centered values of Ahi to young generations, Palandöken concluded his words as follows: "On this occasion, I sincerely congratulate all our tradesmen and craftsmen who keep the culture of Ahilism alive and work devotedly, and I wish them abundant earnings, peaceful and auspicious business. It should not be forgotten that the culture of Ahilism, which has lived in Anatolia for centuries, will continue to shed light on the future today as it did yesterday."
