We celebrate the August 30 Victory Day, a turning point in the Republic of Turkey's struggle for independence. Read the meaning of this victory, the symbol of labor and freedom, on habersendika.com.
August 30, the day of the victory of the Great Offensive, one of the biggest steps taken on the road to the establishment of the Republic of Turkey, is also the source of inspiration for the spirit of trade union struggle. We are once again experiencing the joy of this victory, which is the symbol of labor and independence, together with all workers and laborers.
August 30, 1922 is not only a date when the enemy armies were expelled from Anatolian lands, but also an epic in which the struggle for freedom and independence was declared to the whole world. This great victory achieved in the Battle of the Commander-in-Chief is the result of an honorable struggle with perseverance and determination.
On this historic day, we commemorate with respect, gratitude and mercy all our heroes who made this land our homeland, especially Gazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk and his comrades-in-arms.
Congratulations to all our people and laborers on this great holiday crowned with victory. Long live fully independent Turkey!
