Meaningful Climb to Demirkazık Summit by Journalists of Medya-İş

Niğde - Under the sponsorship of Medya-İş Union, journalists who are members of Medya-İş and members of Medyatrek Mountaineering and Outdoor Sports Club made a successful ascent to Mount Demirkazık, one of the peaks of the Taurus Mountains, which is 3,756 meters high. This meaningful event brought together both the passion for mountaineering and the awareness of social responsibility.

Summit Pre-Summit Report Card Gift

Before starting the climb, the journalists met with children living in Çukurbağ and Demirkazık villages of Çamardı district of Niğde, and delivered the report card gifts specially prepared by Medya-İş Union to the little ones. This warm meeting put a smile on the faces of the children and was a great source of morale for the journalists before the climb. The event built a meaningful bridge between the people of the region and members of the media.

Tough Climb and Flag Change at the Summit

The climb, which started at night, took about 7.5 hours to reach Demirkazık, known as one of the most challenging peaks of Aladağlar. Despite the harsh natural conditions and the difficult course, the team persevered and reached the summit. One of the most meaningful moments at the summit was the replacement of the worn out Turkish flag with a new one. This moment both reinforced national feelings and increased the symbolic value of the summit.
